Anyway, this is what worked/works for me, and I wanted to pass it along in case it works for others as a more simple method. I'm guessing the heat/slowdown is because of memory usage plus running 2 bluetooth devices at once on it. It works great for grinding along a GPX route that way. The one issue I have had is that things tend to slow down/phone gets pretty warm after a while, so I usually let the GO+ catch the stuff and spin the stops, tilt the phone into a position to invoke the battery saver/black screen, and check on it after 30-60 minutes. I've hit Zaragoza, Sydney Opera House, NYC, southern Florida, Pier 39. Using the combination above, I've had zero problems with rubber banding/distance limits. It was a Verizon SIM to begin with, and the new phone is legit play only. I pulled the SIM card for use in another iPhone. My current method, with no issues since being forced off of iOS 12: - Currently on iOS 15.2.1 - iPhone X - iTools BT device, the first one I think - iToolsBT version 2.0.5 - Probably most important: WiFi ONLY.
